Description ~ Provisional and Two-sided Cast-ons

Provisional and two-sided cast-ons are useful for sock-toes of toe-up socks, for projects that are to be joined at some point and for shawls like my patterns “Nuvem“ or “Polarlys.“ Provisional and Two-sided Cast-ons can be achieved by different methods like a crochet chain, Judy’s Magic Cast-on and the Winding Cast-on by Åsa Tricosa. We will practice each method and discuss which one is suitable for which kind of project.

Materials Needed ~ Provisional and Two-sided Cast-ons

Sport or DK-weight yarn in two different, light solid colors, two matching circular knitting needles, crochet hook in a suitable size.
